Are you checking everything before Shopping Online?

Amigo Fellow Shopper!

Love it or hate it but we do shop online! It’s not only popular but convenient too. First time shopping however, can be little intimidating in terms of sharing your personal and vital information but once you get the hold of it, everything becomes smooth and trustworthy. Buying things over the internet is thrilling and exciting on one hand and risky and unsafe on the other. It provides you a wide range of products in jaw dropping price range which off course turns out to be a good purchase but also increases the risks pertaining to it. You have a trust on the stores or platforms you frequently shop from but even after you are quite familiar with the whole “shopping online” concept, we would like you to keep in mind the below mentioned points so that you can be sure about your purchase next time you click “buy”.
Before Shopping Online
Before Shopping Online

DON’T shop from public computers or the computers you do not trust. Better safe than sorry. You don’t want people (hackers) to steal your information and make ill use of it do you? So avoid shopping on the computers in malls, bookstores, internet café, etc. Don’t put yourself at risk by purchasing online.

DON’T fall for the over discounted amount or the bogus bargains, you are smarter than that. If you come across a deal which is too good to be true, demands a direct fund transfer and won’t accept card transactions, it is probably a scam. Be on the safe side and directly go on the retailer’s site to confirm about such offers.
DON’T trust every deal you find on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Using these platforms can certainly be the smart way to stay on top of the deals but you might find the URL’s there are often shortened, so you won’t know whether you are landing on legitimate site for that retailer.

DON’T believe everything you read. Hackers and cyber-criminals may try to lure you their website by offering you unbelievable deals in lowest possible prices. They want to trap you by offering such too good to be true deals, hence if you come across such links offering you IPhone 7 or a BMW perhaps in few bucks, don’t believe them.
